The Community Services Committee is assisting with a food drive to benefit local federal prison officers who are affected by the loss of pay during the partial shutdown of the federal government.
The Community Services Committee will be taking donations of non perishable food, toiletries, dippers (as a lot of them have small children) or cash at the next few meetings. Food or item donations may also be dropped off at the lodge at any time the lodge is open.
The local prison officers as well other federal employees negatively impacted by this shutdown are facing unique hardships. Please give as much as your situation may permit without material injury to yourself and family.
A list of the community service committee members can be found on the Committee's page.
The lodge room received a huge facelift today when new window coverings were installed. One close look at the old curtains was all it took to understand this change was long overdue.
Ryan Hite graciously donated curtains, purchased with his winnings from the last poker night. Ryan's mother Mary stepped up to select and iron the new curtains. Mark Costello (with Mary's help) gets an assist for the installation. You all are Awesome!
A huge thank you to all involved in making this happen!
