MASTER'S MESSAGE
Brethren, this year has had its turmoil. Our lives have been, and continue to be touched by the pandemic. It has touched us all in ways that no one could have expected a year ago. Unfortunately, we now find ourselves in another shut down, which impacts our families, our community, and activities at the lodge.
This year, it seems that as the COVID statistics go, so goes our personal freedoms. The ability for Weston Lodge to hold meetings and conduct business has been deeply impacted. Yet through leadership, we still had many accomplishments.
Recently, the country made a decision on the direction it will take over the next four years. In the next few weeks, Weston Lodge will similarly need to decide on its direction for the next year.
Due to the shutdown, we are forced to conduct the election of officers via a mail out ballot. The ballot has been mailed to all eligible members at their address on file. There are pre-filled options for each officer’s position, or you can make use of a spot to write in your preferred choice if not listed. Instructions and a stamped return envelope are included with the ballot, but all ballots must be received by December 31, 2020 to be counted.

I call upon the members of Weston Lodge to remember that we are all Masons and as such should demonstrate the virtues of our fraternity daily and throughout the various facets of our lives. A shout out goes to the WMTA in taking action to repair the parking area behind and to the north of the building. The new and properly graded surface should correct the water pooling we were experiencing around the foundation of the building.

Brothers, this month I give you this quote from Ralph W. Sockman to ponder.
There are parts of a ship which taken by themselves would sink. The engine would sink. The propeller would sink. But when the parts of a ship are built together, they float. So with the events of my life. Some have been tragic. Some have been happy. But when they are built together, they form a craft that floats and is going places. And I am comforted.
