Lake Weston

A shout out goes to the WMTA in taking action to repair the parking area behind and to the north of the building.  The new and properly graded surface should correct the water pooling we were experiencing around the foundation of the building.

Multi Media System

September 23, 2020 WM Bruce Swedal, SD Michael Cardoza, JS Josh Levin, Ron Pino and Michael Cardoza’s father installed the new 86" flat screen in the lodge room.  The photo does not provide the right prospective to the size of this screen.  It is HUGE!

Michael Marcus is currently developing a standard operating procedure that groups can use as a cheat sheet for its use.

Funding was provided via a donor (who wishes to remain anonymous) and the Weston Masonic Temple Association.

Dining Room Makeover

Over the summer we completed a few projects including a makeover for the dining room, new blinds for the library and new curtains for the meeting room.

Part one of the dining room makeover was repainting to give it a new bright and clean look.  Today we completed the second part of the makeover by installing new blinds in both the dining room and library.  Its an amazing difference and will create a good impression on visitors to the lodge.  Special thanks to all those who helped make this happen WM Cisco, Bruce Swedal, Walt Ashlock, Larry Page, Benjamin Bridge, Michael Cardoza (and his father in law), Josh Levin, Loren Kohler, Daniel Croll, Larry Wullbrandt and all the Weston Masonic Temple Association who approved funds.

We Need Volunteers – Saturday August 24, 2019 @ 8:00 AM

The Temple Board has approved funds for new blinds in the dining room and library.  Also approved are funds for painting materials for the dining room at the lodge.

Now we need a group of volunteers to make it happen.

We have a tentative date of Saturday August 24, 2019 @ 8 AM to paint the dining area.

The plan is for Walt to tape if off the night before.  Painting will begin Saturday morning.  We will have a few people trimming it out, a few following with rollers and a few cleaning up behind.

Lunch will be provided.

After the painting is complete.  We will get the new blinds picked up and install them.

Let Bruce Swedal know whether or not you will be there and start spreading the word and recruiting others ASAP.  If we get a decent crew, this will probably not take that long.
Thanks!

2019 WMTA Preservation Dinner

The Weston Masonic Temple Association will be holding its annual Preservation Dinner on June 1, 2019 from 5 pm to 8 pm with all proceeds generated benefiting the preservation and maintenance of our Historic Building.  As the building nears its 100th anniversary, preservation and maintenance becomes more important and more expensive.  To keep our building for the next 100 years, we need to raise funds to preserve and maintain it today.

Preservation Committee Family Dinner CANCELED

Brothers due to the lack of interest in the upcoming Temple association dinner it was decided Wednesday night to not do it on May 5th. We will combine it with the fund raiser BBQ on June 9th at the Boggy Draw Tap House. There is plenty of parking, it is dog friendly and we will be selling brats, burgers, chips to our masonic family and anyone else that come. We will be making all proceeds from food and will be setting up games. We will be doing the silent auction there as well. Sorry for the short notice. See the attached flyer

New Commercial Refrigerator

The new commercial refrigerator arrived at The Weston Masonic Temple shortly after the monthly breakfast on March 10, 2018.  Steve O'Donnell WM arranged for a moving truck and at least a dozen members were on hand to unload the refrigerator and move it into place.

The new American Made refrigerator has additional space to accommodate food trays used by the various groups who call Weston Masonic Temple home.  Please do your best to help keep the facilities clean for the members to enjoy.
